Ann is a national Diploma holder in Horticulture and has worked with us for over 8 years.  Ann before coming to us worked in the UK with a leading nursery and now heads up the Quality control and customer service part of the MyPlant business. An is a native of West Cork.

Kevin Conway

MyPlant Quality Control Assistant

Kevin has worked with the business since leaving school and works on all aspects of plant order selection for sending to Gaden Centres all over Ireland. Kevin is a native of Co, Kilkenny.

Leonard Reid

MyPlant Production Supervisor

Leonard has worked in the business sine 1990 and is crop production supervisor.  Leonard studied at Hadlow College in UK for his NVQ while working at FitzGerald Nurseries. Leonard is a native of Co, Kilkenny and is dedicated to ensuring all plants are grown to a high standard and reach your balcony, patio or garden healthy and ready to give you years of enjoyment.

Malachy Doherty

MyPlant Production Manager

Malachy is nursery production manager and a specialist in plant propagation. As a graduate of the National Botanic Gardens Glasnevin Malachy is not only interested in plant production but enjoys a wide rang of gardening activities.  Malachy has 10 years of experience in specialist plant production and is a garden plant enthusiast.  Malachy is a native of Co, Waterford.

Margaret McEntee

MyPlant Propagation Assistant

Margaret is specializes in the propagation of all MyPlant introductions and supervises the MyPlant propagation team. Margaret ensures cuttings, seedlings and micropropagules of all plants are treated with utmost care and efficiecy at the initial production phase.

Melanie Hohner

MyPlant General Manager

Melanie is a graduate of The University of Weinstephan near Munich in Germany and our General Manager organising all aspects of the business.  Melanie has wide experience in the European nursery industry and worked in France Germany and Switzerland as a sales manager for a large French nurery company.  Melanie is responsible for ensuring all planning and careful introduction of our new varieties from breeders all over the world.

Pat FitzGerald

MyPlant Founder

Pat founded FitzGerald Nurseries in 1990 and has had a long career in the nursery industry since leaving college in 1982.  As a former Chairman of Ireland Nursery Association and a member of European Nursery Association committe in the 1990s Pat has wide international nursery industry knowlege. Travelling extensively worldwide visiting breeders and other nuseries is part of Pat's yearly schedule. 

Val Reid

MyPlant Propagation Supervisor

Val is reponsible for supervision in the specialist propagation unit at MyPlant and oversees the first stage process of the MyPlant production. Plants are taken as cuttings seedling and micro-propagules then rooted and weaned off under Vals supervision,  As all MyPlant's are 100% produced in Ireland each MyPlant passes through under Val's care to the next stage of production at the nursery. Val has worked at FitzGerald Nurseries since 1995, Val is a native of Co, Kilkenny.
